[Gist]Nail artist criticized for creating nail art that has live ants trapped in them

A nail artist's unsettling creation has been criticized by social media users who have termed it animal cruelty.

Nail Sunny, the Russian nail technicians popular for creating unusual and unique nail designs, shared photos and videos of their latest creation which sees live ants trapped inside the nails. 

Some social media users defended the treatment of the ants, saying people step on ants all the time without care or notice. But most disagreed and said that there is a difference between accidental stepping and deliberate torture for "art".

Nail Sunny subsequently released a video showing that the ants were later freed.
